This message is to the group ‘staff’ (i.e., moderators). You should be able to send email invitations to new users from your profile page (click your icon in the top-right, then select ‘Invites’). The invitation email is a bit sparse at the moment so if the person is not expecting it then it may look like spam. Please ask users to either use their real name as their username or put their real name in their Profile (affiliation would be good too).
